| Grilled Garlic-Chile Flank Steak |
Father's Day can mean some serious grilling. Rather than complicating the menu and the day...try this simple and healthy flank steak recipe.
 Dad may still man the grill, but he's not stuck there all day! Don't forget to raise a glass and toast your world's best dad.
ACTIVE TIME: 25 minutes
TOTAL TIME: 1 hour 25 minutes (including 1 hour marinating time)
EASE OF PREPARATION: Easy
INGREDIENTS:
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/4 cup white vinegar
2 tablespoons canola oil
2 teaspoons ground ancho chile pepper (see Ingredient note)
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1 teaspoon ground cumin
1/4 teaspoon salt
1-1 1/4 pounds flank steak, trimmed of fat

As we head into the food frenzy of the Wisconsin summer, we thought we would encourage our boot campers to think about food and choices.
All actions have consequences so remember to weigh your options wisely!
You would have to run two and a half hours at a ten minute/mile pace (that is 6 mph) to burn off the calories in a double patty cheeseburger, extra large fries and a 24-oz soda (1500 calories).
1500 is the total amount of daily calories needed to support the metabolism of an average size women per day! You tell us...is it worth it?

Due to the over whelming popularity of fitness boot camps during the summer months, we are pleased to announce the opening of a 6:45 am time slot (for July only) at Bradford Beach on beautiful Lake Michigan.
This is a womens' only camp and will run from 6:45-7:45 am from July 6th-July 31st.
So, feel free to sleep in a little longer ladies, no need to get up for the 5:30 am camp - you now have a later option!
This is Summer Camp 6.5 at Bradford Beach. These camps ARE filling quickly (seriously - have you seen the surnrises lately?) so sign up soon. This camp closes at 40 campers!

Eat Fresh This Summer
Summer is just around the corner and that is great news for all of us cleaning up our eating. The less processed and closer a food is grown to where you buy it, the better.
Our local farmers' markets are a fantastic place to find foods that meet these criteria. A lot of them are already selling for the season.
In Milwaukee county, you can find a market on every day but Monday. Most markets also offer music and entertainment, so that it feels more like an event than a shopping trip. Pack up your reusable shopping bag and eat fresh this summer!

C'mon, even at Milwaukee Adventure Boot Camp we know that it is Wisconsin and that means summer festiva  ls galore.
If you want a drink, you want a drink, and all the bad press you read isn't likely to quench your thirst. So the Nutrition 911 on alcohol will be to skip the boring science and discuss what to do when you're going to drink.
Besides, studies keep telling us that a bit of alcohol in your diet enhances your health and lengthens your life span.
