Catherine AndersonCatherine Andersen - BA, MBA, CPT

Catherine Andersen is a certified boot camp coach, certified personal trainer, nutrition specialist and unabashed fitness zealot. These passions invigorate her training style, which is at once energetic, highly motivational and informed by over 25 years of resistance training and nutrition counseling success. Catherine’s client-based training approach helps her and her coaches assesses the goals of each client with a discerning eye of a clinician, dispensing tailored programs for her fitness boot camps. Be they for the full time athlete in search of improved performance, or those in search of a slimmer, stronger more balanced health and physique. With the help of co-owner and husband, she is a full time professional fitness coach and full-time Pre Physician Asst. student at UWM who devotes her considerable energies and leadership into spreading her philosophy to a diverse population that includes, but is not limited to; runners, triathletes, new moms, dads, active couples, single professionals, youth athletes and all clients in between.

Catherine possesses a wealth of technical and scientific knowledge obtained through years of continued studies in Human Biomechanics and Performance, Nutrition, Sports Psychology, Human Physiology and Kinesiology and is a successful athlete in her own right. First, as a college scholarship basketball player and now as an IFBB Professional Figure Athlete. She graduated from the University of Arkansas Little Rock with her International Business Degree in 1997 but realized early on her passion was in helping others improve the quality of their life through health and fitness. Her goal in obtaining her MBA from Cardinal Stritch University in 2005 was to prepare her to open and run a “results oriented” fitness business; not JUST another gym.

Catherine is a certified and authorized Adventure Boot Camp Instructor through NESTA (National Exercise and Sports Trainers Association), a certified fitness trainer through NSCA (National Strength and Conditioning Association), is First Aid and CPR certified and is currently studying for certification in Sports Psychology through NESTA. She is transitioning from a business background into a medical career; finishing EMT school, gaining direct patient care experience and completing her Pre Physician Assistant studies at UWM. Catherine runs the first-original authorized Adventure Boot Camp established in WI! She believes that being first to market with fitness boot camps in WI allowed her to really make a “results oriented” impact as a fitness leader, which has opened many doors of opportunities to touch those who other-wise would have the chance for such interaction in the fitness industry.

Catherine works with the team of fitness coaches at Milwaukee Adventure Boot Camp to ensure that the clients are getting the absolute best there is in training programs, coaching, customer-service and results. Catherine settles for nothing less than excellence when it comes to the quality of service her team gives to the clients. She utilizes her business management skills earned through her MBA to direct not only her fitness business but her team as well. She spends the majority of her time mentoring her team, creating fun and effective fitness programming and in the marketing of her brand.

As a business owner overseeing her team she leads them with the mission statement, “We strive to be the best part of our camper’s day everyday. “ She and her team focus on being the best part of their client’s day, achieving results and changing lives while having fun doing it! One of the most rewarding aspects of working with the local community has been the ability to offer fitness and nutrition support and education on a pro bono and volunteer basis. She has worked closely with corporations such Baird and Seek Employment, athletes from schools such as Shorewood High School, Shorewood Intermediate School, Whitefish Bay High School, University School, South Milwaukee High School and Atwater Elementary and charity/fund raiser organizations like the American Lung Cancer Association and Relay for Life cancer research. Being blessed with health and the drive to give back; allows Catherine and her team the best gift of all; helping others.

Michael Anderson Michael Andersen, BS, NSCA CPT (in training)

 Michael Andersen is a University of Wisconsin- Eau Claire graduate. He has a degree in Criminal Justice and has been a City of Brookfield Police Officer for 25 years. You may recognize his last name. Yes, he is also married  to Milwaukee Adventure Boot Camp owner, Catherine Andersen. Together, they share in their love of exercise, health and wellness. He helps her successfully run the fitness boot camp company.

 Mike is a lifetime athlete. His love of sports started in Jr. High where he participated in football, wrestling and track. As he grew, so did his athletic ability, leading him into Club baseball and continuing his successful swimming  career. In high school he excelled in swimming and track but as he progressed into college, his studies dominated his time and he was introduced to the “gym” and a new love of lifting weights and running for health and  wellness emerged.

 While coaching his two boys in little league, Mike realized he had a knack for mentoring and training others. He has been developing this skill at the police department and holds numerous certifications: Defensive Arrest Tactics  Instructor, Taser Instructor, Simmunitions Instructor, High Risk Traffic Stops Instructor and is currently certified as a Trainer with the WI Department of Justice. Mike knows how to instruct! He is excited to be able to bring his  knowledge, teaching ability and love of helping others to boot camp. Currently he is a First Responder, is CPR and First Aid certified with extensive training in First Aid from his previous certification as an EMT. He is working  on  a prestigious personal training certification through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA).

 His goals are to not only become a full time boot camp instructor and professional certified personal trainer but to also continue his education in the health and wellness field. For the same reason he became a police officer, to  help others, he looks forward to guiding, supporting and helping clients toward a healthier, more fulfilling and happier life.
