Catherine AndersonCatherine Andersen - BA, MBA, CPT

Catherine has been a health and fitness enthusiast and competitive athlete her entire life. She has enjoyed and competed in a variety of sports including gymnastics, cheerleading, track (running), and basketball. Catherine has also been involved with strength training and group fitness for over 15 years. She began personal training as a hobby while still in college and added to that group exercise instruction, teaching step aerobics as well as kickboxing.

After earning her degree in International Business (1997) from the University of Arkansas in Little Rock and her MBA (2005) from Cardinal Stritch University in Milwaukee she realized her true passion was in helping to build confidence in others through health and fitness as well as encouraging them to improve their lifestyles and attitudes. In 2007, Catherine founded A-List Fitness, Inc., a personal training and nutritional counseling service. She reaches clients through online training, phone coaching, group training, boot camps, live seminars and one on one customized instruction.

Andersen believes in and lives a healthy, fit lifestyle and strives to be a passionate role model. She earned professional status in the fitness industry in July of 2007 at the USA Championships in Las Vegas . She is an IFBB Professional Figure competitor and is the first and only Figure Pro in the history of the state of Wisconsin . So, who better to learn from and get motivated by than a real PRO!

Catherine is a certified and authorized Adventure Boot Camp Instructor through NESTA (National Exercise and Sports Trainers Association), a certified personal trainer through AFAA (Aerobics and Fitness Association of America), is First Aid and CPR certified and is currently studying for certification as a Nutritional Coach through NESTA, as well as two additional personal training certifications through ACE (American Council on Exercise) and ISSA (International Sports Sciences Association). Catherine runs the first-original authorized Adventure Boot Camp established in WI!

Catherine is available for spokesperson and media opportunities internationally as well as personal training, one-on-one nutritional coaching and grocery store tours on a limited basis in the Milwaukee area. For more information, contact us.

Joanna MarkerJoanna Marker, BA, MBA, CPT

  Joanna Marker thanks "Google" for directing her to Milwaukee Adventure Boot Camp in February 2009.  She started as an out of shape (former athlete) camper and became a disciple to the nutrition and physical aspects of Boot Camp.   Joanna won the "SLAM BAM" weight loss contest in June which solidified the healthy habits necessary for a lifetime of continued health.  She attributes much of her 110 lb weight loss and complete shift in her outlook on life, to the dedication, support, and guidance of the coaches who were a constant source of encouragement through the journey.   In October, she approached Coach Catherine about a way to turn her success and influence into an impactful path where should could support others going through similar journeys. 

Joanna continues to take boot camp daily in addition to weight lifting, running, and yoga.  She understands, very clearly, that making a lifestyle change isn't sustainable unless healthy habits are built, consistently executed, evaluated, and refined. 

Joanna graduated from Illinois College in 2002 with a B.A. in Business, Economics and International Studies. She is a Certified Corporate Trainer and Certified Master Business Coach ; she holds her Ohio and Wisconsin Life and Health licenses as well as the FINRA Series 6 and 7.  Joanna recently received her MBA, with a concentration in leadership, from the University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee.  By day, she works as a project manager and consultant at a top financial services company, by night, she loves teaching the evening boot camp and working with new and repeat campers!! 

She is a certified personal trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) and is currently pursuing the Performance Enhancement Specialist certification to as a way to keep athletes performing at the highest level.


Michael AndersonMichael Andersen, BS, NSCA CPT (in training)

  Michael Andersen is a University of Wisconsin- Eau Claire graduate. He has a degree in Criminal Justice and has been a City of Brookfield Police Officer for 20 years. You may recognize his last name. Yes, he is also married to Milwaukee Adventure Boot Camp owner, Catherine Andersen. Together, they share in their love of exercise, health and wellness. He helps her successfully run both the boot camp and small group/semi private training aspects of their company.

Mike is a lifetime athlete. His love of sports started in Jr. High where he participated in football, wrestling and track. As he grew, so did his athletic ability, leading him into Club baseball and continuing his successful swimming career. In high school he excelled in swimming and track but as he progressed into college, his studies dominated his time and he was introduced to the “gym” and a new love of lifting weights and running for health and wellness emerged.

While coaching his two boys in little league, Mike realized he had a knack for mentoring and training others. He has been developing this skill at the police department and holds numerous certifications: Defensive Arrest Tactics Instructor, Taser Instructor, Simmunitions Instructor, High Risk Traffic Stops Instructor and is currently certified as a Trainer with the WI Department of Justice. Mike knows how to instruct! He is excited to be able to bring his knowledge, teaching ability and love of helping others to boot camp. Currently he is CPR and First Aid certified with extensive training in First Aid and working on a prestigious personal training certification through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA).

His goals are to not only become a full time boot camp instructor and professional certified personal trainer but to also continue his education in the health and wellness field. For the same reason he became a police officer, to help others, he looks forward to guiding, supporting and helping clients toward a healthier, more fulfilling and happier life.


Marin Koebert, BA, NSCA, CPT

Marin Koebert is the coaching team leader for Achieve Personal Fitness.

Her passion and enthusiasm for her career result from a lifelong love of exercise. Marin has been a competitive runner and Irish dancer since she was eleven. In college, she spent as much free time as she could participating in group fitness classes both for the love of movement and for the community atmosphere. While she was pursuing a degree in Sociology and English at the University of Vermont, Marin decided to spend a year abroad in Cork, Ireland. It was there that she took the time to travel and study other passions of hers: the Irish language, old Irish literature, Irish Dance and traditional Irish music. Through it all, she made sure to set time aside to take part in the mountaineering club and Irish dance club at University College Cork. Taking that year abroad to realize what made her truly happy was what led her to dedicate herself to a career in fitness.

When she returned to Vermont, She got her certification as a group fitness instructor through the American Council on Exercise (ACE), received her Bachelor’s of Arts in Sociology and English, and became a Certified Personal Trainer through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA). Marin is currently pursuing her Master’s in Exercise Physiology at UWM.

Marin loves working with everyone at Achieve Personal Fitness, and is grateful for the opportunity to immerse herself in her lifelong passion everyday!
